Very happy with these bannetons

I'm really happy with the quality of this banneton and also with the speed of delivery from Broadoak nursery. I've been using a cane banneton for ages so wanted to try a wood pulp version and now have ordered two more because, obviously, I like them more.

Really good banneton that holds and releases a loaf really nicely. It doesn’t stick like a cane or lined banneton does. Although it’s nominally a 500g size I make loaves that are 465g flour and 300g water and they fit perfectly. (I’m assuming the 500g refers to the loaf weight, not just the flour).

Now used it a few times and it’s much better than the rattan baskets more stable and environmentally friendly as well all round winner

Does not stick and easy to brush off excess flour. Prefer this one to my cane banneton.

Been using cane style bannetons for a while, but had heard good things about wood pulps ones. Rightfully so, they are so much better and less prone to sticking

I'm brand new to baking and bought two of these - one round, one oval - as recommended by a friend. So far I made 3 loaves and they have all turned out very well. Very pleased with myself and my bannetons!

Being fairly new to sourdough bread making I had only used a traditional basket for proving but found this much easier. The risen dough came out beautifully and the flour left behind brushed off easily.

Even high hydration sourdough pops out cleanly and holds its shape. A good size for a smaller household too.

So, it turns out that the people who say a wood pulp banneton is better than a wicker one are right. Even wet, sticky dough turns out perfectly, with a "skin" that holds it together during oven spring and baking.

Pair with a bread cloche for the best loaf you'll even bake.

Wood pulp bannetons are great because the dough does not stick with just a dusting of flour and a nice ridged pattern is formed.

The dough comes out much easier than a cane banneton !!!!
